01 — The Mat
I've spent over three decades in the wrestling room. I know the reality of the grind — the sweat, the friction, and the hours in a locker room shower. Tussle Craft wasn't a business idea; it was a coach's answer to a simple question: what would a serious shower routine for a serious athlete actually look like — bar, ingredients, and cure time included.
02 — The Studio
Parallel to my life on the mat is my 35-year career as a Visual Artist. My work in decorative arts and material finishes is defined by an obsession with the ‘finish.’ I brought that same eye to the lab. I don't see soap as a commodity; I see it as a functional sculpture. Every bar is a study in material integrity — from the unrefined shea butter to the precise mineral ratios of the clays.
The Connection
Tussle Craft is the synthesis of these two worlds — functional objects made with artisanal soul. The grit of the wrestling room demands performance; the discipline of the studio demands integrity. Every bar is built for the shower after the round and finished as an object worth keeping on the shelf.

We reject decorative molds in favor of a rugged, 4oz rectangular block.
The Duality
To the Coach, this is grip and utility in a gym bag. To the Artist, it is a minimalist canvas that lets the natural marbling of the clays be the focus.
